Bishkek

Bishkek, the vital northern capital of the Kyrgyz Republic, is located on the border with Kazakhstan. The city still retains the former Soviet Asian features, as it contains many green spaces, parks, and gardens next to buildings and monuments dating back to the Soviet era. The city also includes many Soviet monuments and cultural institutions, including the National Historical Museum and Ala-Too Square, where a daily changing of the Kyrgyz flag guards takes place.

Alto Square

Ala-Too Square is one of the country’s main attractions and a favorite place for all city residents. The entire complex was completed in the 1970s. All monuments were erected in memory of the heroes of the Kyrgyz people (Manas Magnanimos, the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov, Kurmanjan Datka)

National Historical Museum

Victory Square

Although World War II did not reach Kyrgyzstan, the Soviet government built a square, a memorial, and a flame that does not go out in summer and winter to commemorate the victory in the war. It is in the form of a Kyrgyz tent that protects the northern region of the country.

Popular market Osh Bazaar

It is one of the most important landmarks of the city and the most tourist attractions in Bishkek

You can get the folk costume of the Kyrgyz Republic, which includes long white hats made of burlap called ka kalpak, from this market.

Working hours are from nine in the morning until five in the evening, and Monday is a holiday.

Chinese People’s Market (Dardoy Bazaar)

It is a market consisting of two floors of containers located on the International Silk Road.

Wadi Alam al-Din:

Lake 5 Geiss:

KGT Waterfall:

It is a 30-meter-high waterfall. The waterfall is located in the beautiful KGT Gorge, 90 kilometers from the city of Bishkek.

It flows all year round, and in the winter it partially freezes.

It can be visited within one day and hike on the outskirts of the waterfall.

Kashkasso Valley:

It is one of the most famous areas around Bishkek. It overlooks the entire city of Bishkek. You can visit it in summer and winter, because of its proximity to ski stations and beautiful waterfalls. There are tents and wooden huts overlooking stunning hills and landscapes, and being at a high altitude, you feel as if you are in the arms of the clouds.

Burana area and resort:

It is one of the tourist places in Kyrgyzstan that is admired by many. It is an hour and a half away from the capital by car. It is a large resort that includes several lakes and seating areas within the lake that can be reached by boat.

There is a tower that was built in the eleventh century. It is a minaret about 40 meters high, but half of it was destroyed due to an earthquake that occurred in the fifteenth century.
